BRIDGETON, Mo. – A politician and lawyer who we’ve exposed in months of investigations on FOX 2 has lost his Missouri law license.Andrew Purcell has avoided us for months, beginning with our first report in April 2022 that he was representing Bridgeton as a politician while living 140 miles away in Carterville, Illinois.He said he had no comment when we confronted him about that abnormality.Purcell was forced to comment, however, to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office after being charged with a crime. Purcell was sentenced in June 2023 to a misdemeanor of stealing without consent. That led to the Missouri Supreme Court’s decision to pull his law license.Purcell did not answer his cellphone or respond to a voicemail asking for a comment about the action. BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Area builders are putting out a call to local high school students and their parents—there is an urgent need for people to help build St. Louis.The need is so critical and building contractors are so desperate right now; they’re going straight after high school students and telling them that maybe they shouldn’t go to college.The difference between college debt and a construction job can be staggering.“Oh my gosh, the need is very critical,” said Donna Richter, CEO of the Southern Illinois Builders Association, an organization representing a large portion of the St. Louis area’s construction industry. “Work has increased. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – The Francis Howell School Board has introduced a new bathroom policy for transgender students. The new policy will have a second reading and then a final vote. Tensions and emotions were high at Thursday’s meeting as parents, teachers, and a student voiced their thoughts on the new bathroom policy."The administration, the school districts, they all work very well with the parents of transgender kids to develop plans that are safe plans that our kids can feel safe within the walls of the schools. So, it really is kind of a policy that is unnecessary," Becky Hormuth said.Parents who spoke in favor of the new policy said the policy is accommodating to transgender students. Hospital staff needs the public's help to identify three male patients found across Southern California.All three men were found near public roads or areas and remain hospitalized at Dignity Health facilities. They were all found without personal items or documentation of their identity.The first patient was discovered on Oct. 10. He was found lying on the sidewalk in front of the Long Beach Library located at 101 Pacific Avenue.Staff described him as a Hispanic man in his mid to late 50s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and around 137 pounds. He has brown eyes and dark-colored hair with some graying.
