Patriots starting LG Cole Strange ruled out after being carted off with knee injury FOXBORO — Patriots left guard Cole Strange was carted off of the field with a knee injury midway through the second quarter of the team’s Week 15 game against the Chiefs.Strange was quickly ruled out.Strange appeared to get his foot caught in the turf while getting pushed back by Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones while pass blocking. Strange’s left knee bent back the wrong way, and he remained down on the turf before the cart came out for him.Patriots teammates and Chiefs players kneeled on the field to pray while Strange remained down. (AP) — A Los Angeles-area church was destroyed in a massive fire early Sunday, just hours before a celebration that was set to include a Christmas play and a toy giveaway.Firefighters arrived at Victory Outreach church in Pomona at about 2:45 a.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department said on X, formerly known as Twitter. A fire department spokeswoman told television station KABC that firefighters went into an aggressive interior attack when they arrived, but after about 20 minutes the roof started to collapse and the fire expanded so they went into a defensive mode.No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Rev. Young child found without vital signs in early morning Hamilton fire A young child was found without vital signs at a fire in Hamilton early Sunday morning.Firefighters say they were called to a townhouse complex at 25 Towercrest Drive on Hamilton’s central mountain just before 2 a.m. When they arrived they were met with smoke and visible flames coming from the three-storey unit.Crews were then advised that there was a child possibly inside the burning structure and firefighters located the child on the upper level of the unit without vital signs.Lifesaving measures were begun and firefighters were able to regain a pulse before the child was turned over to paramedics, who took them to McMaster Hospital for further treatment. No further updates have been provided on the condition of the child.Fire officials say the blaze was quickly contained and extinguished and that neighbouring units were not affected.The Office of the Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate the blaze, which is estimated to have caused $350,000 in damage.

According to an affidavit, relatives reported to police that McCulla tried to choke his wife on Dec. 20, 2021, while she was in hospice. The woman died a day later, according to her family. The woman's son ultimately filed a report with police in 2022 about McCulla's actions, he explained to another local news outlet.
