Fire crews are battling a brush fire that broke out in Sylmar on Tuesday afternoon.The Victor Fire is burning near Sierra Highway and Needham Ranch Parkway surrounded by the 5 and 14 Freeways, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.The blaze ignited around 3:30 p.m. at around five acres and by 4 p.m., had grown to 10 acres. By 5 p.m., the flames expanded to around 50 acres. The fire is surrounded by "light, flashy fuels" and has the potential to grow to 100 acres, officials said. Loved ones are searching for a girl who disappeared in San Pedro nearly two weeks ago.The missing girl was identified as Isabella Poland, 12, by the Los Angeles Police Department.On July 15, Poland left her home near the 2200 block of Roseglen Avenue around 4:20 p.m. Her mother told police she noticed Poland was wearing makeup when she left the house.Around 7:50 p.m. that night, Poland was captured on surveillance video at the Montclair Place shopping mall with an unknown male.That was the girl's last known location. Her parents have not heard from her since. Poland does not have a cell phone and was not allowed to use social media, authorities said.Poland is described as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A naked woman armed with a gun and knife on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge created major traffic gridlock for evening rush hour commuters trying to drive to the East Bay. The incident began at 4:38 p.m. Tuesday. Bay Bridge motorists told 911 dispatchers that a woman, who was "completely naked," fired a gun at several cars, threatened random victims with a knife, and attempted to get into cars on the bridge, investigators told KRON4.The erratic woman prompted the California Highway Patrol to close Interstate-80's eastbound lanes near the toll plaza, as well as the I-80 connector ramp to I-880 in Oakland. SAN DIEGO (AP) — Striker Paul Mullin, one of the stars of the “Welcome to Wrexham” docuseries, was injured in a collision with Manchester United goalie Nathan Bishop in a friendly Tuesday night and had to be helped off the field.Mullin was attempting a header when Bishop challenged him just outside the box in the 11th minute and the two went down. Mullin grabbed his head with his right hand and his left hip with his left hand. He was down for about seven minutes.
