AUSTIN (KXAN) — A third man was convicted and sentenced in connection with a May 2019 murder Tuesday, according to Travis County court documents.On Tuesday, a judge sentenced 26-year-old Timothy Bowie to 35 years on a murder charge and 10 years on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge, according to court documents.Records showed Bowie pleaded guilty to the two charges April 18, and as part of the plea deal, there was a maximum sentence of 40 years.Bowie was arrested along with two others in connection to the murder of 28-year-old Jannerra Williams at a north Austin hotel in May 2019. A Dakota County jury has found a Burnsville man guilty of fatally shooting a 33-year-old man outside an Eagan gas station in 2021.Sakaria Osman Ahmed (Courtesy of the Dakota County sheriff’s office)Jurors deliberated for about 11 hours before convicting Sakaria Osman Ahmed, 32, of second-degree murder (with intent-not premeditated) for killing Faisal A. Abukar of Eagan at Marathon gas station on Silver Bell Road, just east of the Twin Cities Premium Outlet Mall.During the trial, which began May 8, Ahmed claimed self-defense and defense of others. A message left Thursday with Ahmed’s attorney was not immediately returned.A sentencing date has not been scheduled.According to the criminal complaint, witnesses told police that prior to the shooting, four men, who had arrived in two separate cars, were arguing.Abukar’s car pulled up alongside the other and Ahmed’s friend got out and tried to sit in the back seat. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany man has been charged after police said he was found to be illegally possessing a loaded handgun. The man, Tamir Tunnell, 23, was arrested by Albany Police Department on May 16. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! At 6:30 p.m. on May 16, police patrol officers stopped Tunnell in the area of Quail Street and First Street in regard to an ongoing investigation. During the stop, officers found Tunnell to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun that was concealed in his waistband. Tunnell was taken into custody after the firearm was recovered by police. He was charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Two people suffered minor injuries when fire raced through a condominium in Woodland Hills Thursday morning.The fire at 21801 W.
