For all the pomp and circumstance that accompanies the ESPN ‘College GameDay’ broadcasts around the country, the immensely popular pregame show is one of the sport’s best barometers of true relevance — as the Pac-12 knows all too well.During that forgettable stretch in the late 2010s and early 2020s, ‘College GameDay’ was rarely spotted in the Pacific Time Zone.In fact, the show was a no-show in the 2019 and 2020 regular seasons, then made a single appearance in both 2021 and 2022. Meanwhile, it set up shop on four Group of Five campuses during that stretch. It visited Athens, Ga. five times. But this year, the Pac-12 is arguably the best league in the land, with the best quarterbacks and several playoff contenders. And sure enough, ‘GameDay’ has followed: The show picked Boulder for Colorado’s early-season thriller against Colorado Stat, and final, and was in Seattle this weekend for Washington’s unforgettable victory over ...49ers-Browns: Samuel out with shoulder injury; McCaffrey also dinged up

He did not emerge until after halftime, when he was wearing a hoodie and beanie cap, rather than his pads and uniform. It was not immediately clear how Samuel suffered the injury. He had two carries for 11 yards and was targeted once by Brock Purdy.Later in the game, Christian McCaffrey missed the 49ers’ second possession of the third quarter with an oblique injury. He returned briefly on the next drive facing a 13-10 deficit, running for six yards on a play negated by penalty, but immediately went back to the sideline and eventually to the locker room at the end of the quarter. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi falsely claimed on Sunday that Egypt had never persecuted Jewish people living in the country.“You spoke about the crisis and you spoke as a Jewish person,” Sisi said to Secretary of State Antony Blinken via an interpreter. “I am an Egyptian citizen, and I was born and brought up in a neighborhood where we had Jewish neighbors. And Jews who used to live here in Egypt [did] not ever suffered from oppression and persecution.”Sisi’s comments directly contradict Egypt’s history, including the enslavement of ancient Israelites as characterized in the biblical story of Moses and violence against Jews during the early centuries of Christianity. In modern times, President Gamal Abdel Nasser of Egypt led a campaign to expel Jews from the country during the late 1950s and ’60s. The Jewish population in Egypt once numbered around 80,000, but today almost no Jews live there. The comments came following a meeting between Sisi and Blinken, who trav...Larnard brothers fuel strong BC High cross country team
