A man was stabbed in the chest numerous times at a Lake Elmo home Saturday afternoon and a suspect is in custody, according to the Washington County sheriff.Few details of the stabbing were available Saturday night as the investigation was ongoing, said a spokesperson for the county sheriff’s office.The following information was released:About 3:13 p.m. a 911 call came in saying that a man had been stabbed in the chest multiple times at a home in the 10000 block of 3rd Street Place North in Lake Elmo. The Canadian Pacific railroad, which has its U.S. headquarters in Minneapolis, and Kansas City Southern railroad have combined to become the first single-line railway connecting Canada, the United States and Mexico.The new railway is called the Canadian Pacific Kansas City. The merger was finalized Friday.Canadian Pacific bought the Kansas City Southern railroad in December 2021 for $31 billion, and the U.S. Surface Transportation Board approved the merger March 15, 2023.“CPKC will bring a new safety standard to the North American rail landscape. BALLWIN, Mo. - Tornado-warned storms are sweeping through the St. Louis region on Saturday. There are some damage reports in St. Louis County, including Ballwin. Windows were busted at the Ballwin Pointe rec center amid Sautrday's severe storm system, which is now heading east toward counties in Illinois. ST. LOUIS - Ameren reports tens of thousands of power outages in Missouri and Illinois as tornado-warned storms rolled through the St. Louis area. According to Ameren, around 34,000 customers from both sides of the state are without power as of 7:50 p.m. St. Louis radar: See a map of current weather here Tornado warnings were issued in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jefferson and Franklin counties around 6 p.m. for nearly an hour. One person was killed and three others were hospitalized after a shooting broke out in a Northridge strip mall on Saturday afternoon.Los Angeles police responded to reports of shots fired on the 19100 block of Parthenia Street around 12:33 p.m.When officers arrived, they found four adult male victims with gunshot wounds. One victim, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A Riverside County man was arrested for the alleged murder of a woman found dead inside her home.The suspect, Paul Galindo, 57, is accused of being involved in the death of Brandi Galindo, 40, according to the Riverside County Sheriff.On April 7, deputies responded to a home in the 42000 block of Faith Drive in East Hemet. When officers arrived, they found Brandi “suffering from traumatic injuries to her upper torso,” officials said.The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and at the time, no suspects were present, authorities said.“Based on witness statements, the incident was determined to be a domestic violence-related homicide” and Paul was identified as the suspect, according to arrest documents.Authorities located Paul on April 8 and during his arrest, he was shot before being taken into custody. Members of the Hillside Villa Tenant Association camped out in front of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’ mansion on Friday night and are planning to remain there all day on Saturday until their demands are met. 124 families at Hillside Villa in Chinatown are facing housing uncertainties after L.A.’s COVID-era eviction moratorium expired at the end of March. OAKLEY — Oakley police were investigating on Saturday a drive-by shooting that poured a hail of bullets into a house in the East Bay city and left a female wounded in the wake of an argument among young males.The gunfire erupted Friday night in the 600 block of Country Lane in Oakley.When police officers arrived on the scene of a reported disturbance they learned that a drive-by shooting had occurred, leaving a female hurt.The barrage of gunfire left 11 bullet holes in one house on the street. One bullet struck a female who was inside the house at the time.
